If you plan to go walking, please follow these simple MAFF guidelines:

If you keep or handle farm livestock, please do not walk on the fells. Otherwise, you are welcome to enjoy the re-opened fell paths.

· Access to and from the fell paths is currently only via the access points.
· Stay on the path and the designated routes.
· Use the disinfectant provided at the access points.
· Dogs and horses are not currently allowed onto the fells.
· Please leave gates as you find them.
· Respect all signs.
· Do not approach and never touch or handle livestock.
· Don't leave food or litter anywhere and don't feed any animals.
· Clean your boots, clothes and walking equipment after each walk.

Car parking is available at many rural sites but please note that spaces may be limited. You are advised to travel by public transport where possible. Public transport information is available from 0870 6082608, from TravelCumbria or from Tourist Information Centres
